Spiritland launches in King’s Cross
We are delighted to let you know about the launch of Spiritland in our new, permanent home in King’s Cross on Stable Street, just off Granary Square.
We’re open seven days a week, from early in the morning until late night, playing music all day and night on our brand new, and totally unique sound system designed and built by Living Voice.
Come and have an early morning coffee or breakfast from 8am onwards, spend your day eating, meeting, working or shirking while the system plays. Join us for the daily album playback on our Kuzma turntable every weekday at 6pm, and embark on a musical journey every night and all weekend with our diverse and extensive programme of guests, as the space changes into a seductive late night temple of indulgence and discovery. Entrance is free, all day and all night.

Spiritland is built around the best sound system in the world – a one-off, exceptional creation playing original, in-depth musical programming day and night. It’s all about the music, the artist and the listening experience, giving as much love as possible back to the music.
It’s a place to experience music of all genres and eras, encouraging creativity and exploration. We also host an active radio production suite, Spiritland Sound Studio, where programmes and live broadcasts will be regularly produced and transmitted live to the world. It’s also home to a shop with a hand-picked selection of products from limited-run collaborations, to music on vinyl and CD, audio equipment, books and magazines and some of the best headphones in the world as well as accessories for the music lover.
We have a musical programme that digs deeply into the collections and musical inner lives of some of the world’s leading artists, producers and cultural figures. With DJ sets, a series of talks, interviews, Q&As and even a regular quiz night, Spiritland is a mecca for anyone lost in music, from the curious to the aficionado.
Our guests will be digging into music from the last century right up to the current day, with freedom to explore their musical passions in depth and at leisure. Whether that’s jazz, soul, rock, folk, pop, country, reggae, electronic music or anything else, every night offers something new and unexpected. Throughout the weekend, selectors will be playing music all day throughout the day and into the night.
The Spiritland Sound System
The remarkable new Spiritland sound system plays all day, every day. Built without compromise, the Spiritland system is entirely bespoke – built by Living Voice and overseen by Kevin Scott. Living Voice represents the pinnacle of high-end audio, manufacturing speakers in their factory in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire. It presents music in a clarity, definition and precision rarely heard, with valve amplification from Italian manufacturers Atelier du Triode, a unique rotary mixer from Isonoe, and a selection of audio sources.
Food and Drink
Food and drink are overseen by Owen Kenworthy previously of Brawn, Sonnys, Galvin Bistro Deluxe. With a seasonally-changing menu and extensive wine, beer and whisky selection, Spiritland is a cosy space to make all your musical dreams come true, whether accompanied by early morning coffee or late night eating and drinking.
You can also expect an interesting experience at the bar with an ever-evolving selection of craft beers, natural wines, botanical-inspired cocktails and spirits, from Saturday morning Bellinis to single malts for the wee small hours. We are delighted to work with one of the world’s foremost whisky authorities, Dave Broom, on our extensive whisky selection and will be hosting regular tasting sessions.
We can’t wait to share our musical wonderland with you. Ticketed preview events run from the 5th September, with a full launch from the Monday the 12th September. We’re looking forward to welcoming you in King’s Cross very soon.
