Spiritland favourite Marie – nom de guerre Iko Chérie when creating her 'psychedelicate surf pop' – returns for another of her special French inspired, pop-tinged, laid back and breezy selections.
Frenchman in South London Matthieu Beck is a producer, musician and DJ. Along side running Love In The Afternoon – a website dedicated to slow music and siesta soundtracks – he's one half of the sweet electronic pop band ZOOEY.
Playing mostly balearic, Brazilian, disco-not-disco, continental pop and hippie folk, Matthieu is back for one of his trademark Sunday sets.
Making headlines and chart topping hits since she first emerged in 2008, Little Boots won the respected BBC Sound Of poll and a Brits Critics Choice nomination just a year later. Fusing massive pop hooks onto otherworldly electronic soundscapes, her debut album 'Hands' reached the top 5 in the UK and was quickly certified Gold. Her live show toured worldwide, gaining a reputation for pushing boundaries with groundbreaking instruments the Tenori-on and Laser Harp.
Little Boots went on to found On Repeat Records, releasing her own work and signing and developing up-and-coming talent. In 2017 she collaborated with Jean-Michel Jarre and co-wrote the lead single for his latest record, which received a Grammy nomination for Best Electronic Album.
As a globetrotting DJ, her ties with dance culture are deep and long-running. Since her first white label release 'Stuck On Repeat' (produced by Joe Goddard) and gracing Mixmag's cover, Little Boots has collaborated with dance royalty Maya Jane Coles, Hercules & Love Affair and Simian Mobile Disco. Highlights include her live set for Mixmag Lab (over 1.6m views), curating one of Space's closing We Love party in Ibiza and spinning everywhere from Glastonbury to Valentino's launch at Milan Fashion Week.
Come and see Little Boots play Spiritland-geared music from her cherished collection.
Co-founder of cult psychedelic soul party Beauty and the Beat parties and top notch selector Cedric brings his treasure trove record bags to this Friday night session.

An old head on young shoulders, weekend resident Minus returns for another session of his residency.
A weekend worker at Flashback Records and host of his own monthly radio shows on NTS and Balamii, Minus is a natural cratedigger, to be found playing anything from gospel to krautrock, disco and all stops in between.
Our Jack brings his latest wav and wax acquisitions to the office stereo.
With a decade of DJ experience behind him, he brings smiles to happy dancers and braying barflys alike at festivals, parties and clubs – be it alongside close friends such as Basement Tapes, None More Records, Heavenly or Amateurism, as one half of country/disco/house dancefloor mescaleros the Flying Mojito Bros, as landlord of his Boxpub mobile boozer or simply by himself.
Listen out for crossover reggae disco, irresistibly funky country, heart-wrenching soul and chugging stoner electronica all picked from the wayside of lesser travelled paths.
Alistair Gibbs has been producing sample-based deep house as Nebraska since the early nineties on labels such as Rush Hour, Mister Saturday Night, Heist, Razor-N-Tape and his own Friends & Relations label.
His extensive record collection reflects 30 years of sifting through crates looking for the perfect sample.
Having cut her teeth at one of London’s finest record stores, Sounds Of The Universe, and graduating with an ethnomusicology degree from SOAS, Poly-Ritmo has a musical knowledge way beyond her years. She will be joined by Karl FM for this session.
Expect jazz, Brazilian, Latin, soul and more from Polly.

For the past 13 years DJ Amir has been blessed to tour the world extensively. First as one half of the trailblazing DJ duo Kon and Amir and now as boss to his own label 180 Proof Records.
From an early age, Amir’s ears were filled with the warm and colourful sounds of jazz, gospel, soul, and disco coming from his parents' stereo. As a young man, he made the leap from this soulful home and dove head-first into the world of hip-hop the first chance he got. But instead of the clean break he had anticipated, he discovered so much of his parents' classics sampled in the music of his peers. Intrigued, Amir found himself tracing ties through the music — first with light curiosity, soon, tirelessly. This came to be his passion: to map the sonic lineage of hip-hop.
It was kismet that Amir would meet fellow crate digger and kindred spirit Kon in 1996; instantaneously becoming fast friends and collaborators. Beginning with the esteemed underground On Track mix tape series, Kon & Amir have since released twelve compilations, including three volumes of Off Track, the follow-up to the On Track series. Kon & Amir’s expertise has been sought by Shady Records, Pete Rock, Diamond D, and Capitol Records, to name a few.

Serge Gamesbourg (BBE)
17/12/2018 19:00 - 23:30
Bostonian DJ, producer and bass player Serge Gamesbourg began digging crates for forgotten gems over two decades ago, keeping his native Boston captive with retro beats and unique sounds.
Initially playing and producing hip-hop as DJ Supreme One, Serge provided tracks and collaborated with some of urban industry's legendary artists including Guru, Masta Ace and Edo G, eventually moving into dance music territory producing disco and house as Serge Gamesbourg.
After crafting a string of successful vinyl-only disco edit releases on various notable labels, Serge has spent much of the last few years slavishly digging into the history of Massachusetts' late 70s / early 80s little-known underground disco scene, emerging in 2018 with his first compilation on the world famous BBE records, lovingly-titled 'Boston Goes Disco!'.
Today, Serge continues to raise the bar with countless edits, reworks and appearances globally.

Niles and Baggy tell it best in their own words:
"We know emotion, we live emotion, we are emotion. We know pain and we know glory. It courses through our veins and drowns our hearts. Love and hate, joy and sadness, anger and fear – we are in touch with our souls. We ain’t afraid to cry, but then we aren’t reticent to strip to the waist and beat our chests in a display of primal expression either. And this shit needs soundtracking and to be made available to stream on the internet and we need it now."
28/12/2018 13:00 - 18:00
As founder of the influential Jukebox Jam R&B club night, Liam has also worked for Jazzman Records since the early 2000s contributing to many compilations and re-releases, plus taking regular trips to the US in search of old records alongside Jazzman founder Gerald Short.
