Jeff Mills’ work has always been at the intersection between music, contemporary art, pop culture and design and always close to the field of science fiction.
On April 7th, Jeff Mills will release his new album, Planets on Axis Records. An album and live performance describing the nine planets of our Solar System, inspired by the 1918 classical score of Gustav Holst’s 'The Planets'. The score was arranged by Sylvain Griotto, performed by the Porto Philharmonic Orchestra in June 2015, conducted by Christophe Mangou, mixed by Jonathan Allen at Abbey Road Studios, London and mastered by Darcy Proper at Wisseloord Studios, Holland. It is released in HD surround 5.1 for Blu-Ray Audio, and stereo for CD and vinyl formats.
We're delighted to host a private Planets listening session with 5.1 surround sound system at Spiritland, King’s Cross with just 25 tickets available for sale.
The playback is followed by a DJ set by Toby Frith (bleep43)
