Master selector and good pal of Spiritland Jolyon is back at the controls. You've heard and loved his blissed-out Balearic sets, now come hear him program our Friday night session.
Andrew Thomson (Huntleys + Palmers)
Andrew Thomson is the creative force behind the party and label Huntleys + Palmers for the last decade. With a keen curatorial ear via parties between Glasgow and London, he was also behind the programming of a weekly residency at Plastic People (RIP). He runs a few labels (H+P, Highlife, Belters) and has worked closely with the likes of Auntie Flo, SOPHIE, Red Axes, Golden Teacher and many, many more.
He's all about the long sets, playing at Razzmatazz, Le Sucre, The Art School, Sub Club, Berghain Kantine, Ohm, Dimensions festival and as far away as Tokyo's Contact and Dommune. Come and hear him stretch out his musical legs at Spiritland on a Saturday night.
Brian Not Brian
Belfast-born, London based Brian not Brian is one of the distinct voices of the contemporary electronic music scene. With over twenty years digging and working in established London record stores such as Phonica, MVE & Kristina he has become the adventurous selector that he is today, effortlessly moving from jazz to cosmic, boogie to house. Come and hear his unique sound at Spiritland.
Coyote – Is It Balearic? Recordings
- Space Music
Is It Balearic? A question often asked at Spiritland, and Coyote is the man to answer it. With over a decade of fine releases under the Is It Balearic? name, he brings an extremely refined and laid back sound to Spiritland on his debut visit.
Noble & Heath
Emma Noble and Sophie Heath have explored their love of Soul, Funk, Northern Soul, Disco and more in a musical partnership that has taken them from the backrooms of pubs to rocking the big stages at festivals. We welcome them to Spiritland to do their thing on a Saturday night.
Radio jock and London soul scene veteran Johnny has held DJ residencies at many of the capital's most happening clubs and has been spinning and championing music of black origin for many decades. An evening of the rarest of grooves awaits here at Spiritland.
James Hillard is one quarter of the globetrotting disco machine known as Horsemeat Disco. From humble origins in Chinatown (HMD, not James) these party-starters lit a fire that burns as brightly today as it did fifteen years ago. James is the last of all four Horsemeat residents to play at Spiritland, and we're delighted to welcome him along for a set that explores into his private musical passions.
Martin is the creative force behind the pioneering club Smashing, guiding hand on over 25 compilations of soundtrack, jazz and lounge obscurities and DJ at private parties at the most happening hotspots in London Town and beyond. His Spiritland sessions are always special so this one not to miss.
