Iain misses the early 90s chill out room. A haven for overwhelmed, tired and emotional souls who needed a hug - metaphorically and actually. A place where anything and everything went, from anywhere on the musical spectrum, as long as it sounded nice. Flirting with beatlessness and rhythms just audible enough to keep heads nodding. But never being vulgar enough to demand getting to your feet - unless the spirit moved you.

Having been relegated to very irregular mixes on Soundcloud (@iainmixedit) Iain is excited to attempt to recreate the warm vibes of an old school chill-out room on the Spiritland sound system. Dusting off some abstract IDM, modern classical, ambient, oddities, and god knows, maybe even a trip hop track or two.

Following in the footsteps of Patrick Forge and the Low Life DJs, we are thrilled to welcome Red Greg to our Royal Festival Hall home for the next Spiritland by Night.

A veteran of London's soul and disco scene, Red Greg has established himself as a supremely-regarded DJ and collector of 1970s disco boogie and 1980s modern funk.

It's no wonder he's the first choice collaborator for Joey Negro, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Rahaan and has become a mainstay on the European festival circuit – as well as being in-house edits man at Floating Points' label Melodies International, the pair having worked together to put on the now infamous "You’re A Melody" parties at Plastic People (RIP).

Doors at 10pm, with drinks, disco ball and two-steppin' til 2am.

Alternatively, make a night of it and join us for dining as well first. You can book a table for dinner by emailing our front desk on rfh@spiritland.com or calling 020 3146 1980.

Since starting out in the outdoor party scene in the South West of England, Dan Orchard has dedicated himself to electronic music with a hands-on approach that started long before you could get involved from the comfort of your armchair. His instinct for digging out records, 3 deck mixing, putting on parties, and latterly hardware-focused production, have all been shaped by a real world interaction that harks back to the early days of acid house and techno.

Known best for his jacking acid house, twisted electro, classic techno and Italo sets – Dan is bringing a morning-after ambient feel to his Spiritland set.
