Lost in music and neck deep in the world of records, Jeremy caught the bug during the late 90s in his native Wellington, NZ. Following a move to London in 2000, he spent the next ten years loitering in Soho’s record stores, DJing at East End parties and running with local music crews, this left an indelible mark.
A move to Melbourne in 2000 and a partnership with Jamie Bennett lead to the birth of Crown Ruler’s online record store. Showcasing his expansive musical knowledge and knack for trawling forgotten music from across the globe, the unearthing and celebration of music goes deep. It has lead him to consult on a number of acclaimed reissues, curate and source records for a wide variety of local and international clients and launch the Crown Ruler record label. This all culminated in 2017’s Crown Ruler SoundCompilation for London based label, Space Talk. In 2018 Jeremy’s hard work and keen ear saw him start work for Soundway records, working alongside label boss Miles Cleret curating and licensing releases for the esteemed London based label.
