The systems are a manifestation of our desire for excellence, and are therefore in a constant state of development and exploration.
Spiritland King’s Cross
The unique King’s Cross sound system plays all day, every day. Built without compromise, the Spiritland system exists to serve the music and present it in a clarity and precision rarely heard in public.
It is an entirely bespoke setup, created and built by Living Voice and overseen by Kevin Scott. Living Voice represents the pinnacle of high-end audio, manufacturing speakers in their factory in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire.
It plays music of all genres and all eras in an emotionally powerful and intense quality, with a bespoke rotary mixer built for Spiritland by Isonoe, valve amplification from Italian manufacturers Atelier du Triode and sources ranging from vinyl and 1/4” tape to CD and hi-resolution digital files.
Playout sources include a two Isonoe-modified Technics 1200 turntables with a variety of cartridges including Audio-Technica AT-XP7 Dual Moving Magnet Stereo Cartridges, a Tascam DA-3000 Hi-Res Recorder, Revox B77 Tape Recorder, two Pioneer CDJ-2000NXS2 CD players, a Studer A730 CD Player and more.
The daily album club turntable is kindly supplied by Kuzma with an Audio-Technica ART1000 Moving Coil cartridge.
Spiritland Royal Festival Hall
Once again, we teamed up with Living Voice to create an exceptional and unique sound system.
This time, are pair of reconceived Living Voice speakers are reinforced and complimented by a D&B Audiotechnik for extra definition and clarity throughout the dining room.
Other audio details include the original EMT broadcast turntables from the much-missed club Plastic People, a bespoke rotary mixer from Barcelona boutique manufacturers Can Electric, Klipsch Cornwall speakers in the bar and more.
Perhaps the most significant advance is the level of acoustic treatment in the room, with consultants Sound Space Vision enrolled to advise on creating a distinct sound signature for the new Spiritland Royal Festival Hall.
