Calling all music heads... Nick Dwyer's long awaited six-part 'A Century In Sound' documentary is screening in London at the Barbican and we're hosting the official afters.

The evening is a conversation with director Nick Dwyer and the Founder and Creative Director of Spiritland, Paul Noble on the history of listening bars over the last 100 years in Japan, the inception and the making of the documentary and the growth of listening bars in the West, followed by drinks, music and a hangout.

Music comes from Kay Suzuki (Time Capsule) - Kay is a Japanese-born DJ, music producer, and founder of the London-based record label Time Capsule, a cultural platform dedicated to rediscovering overlooked music and presenting it with historical context and high-fidelity sound.

Since launching the label in 2018, Suzuki has developed Time Capsule into an
internationally recognised reissue imprint, with releases spanning global genres from
psychedelic soul and Indian classical to rare Japanese underground recordings.

Alongside the label, Suzuki works as a DJ, producer, and curator of listening events
exploring deep listening culture and sound systems.

Entrance is ticketed via RA.
