Stephen Bunn is known to a generation as one of the founders of Acid Jazz signed outfit Mother Earth and to another as part of the contemporary UK/LDN Jazz outfit, Bunn DeBrett Quintet.
A record collector over 4 decades, a music producer, composer, remixer and composer, Bunny has a knowledge and love of music that is epitomised in his vast vinyl collection and his joy at playing music from that collection to each and all.
His pedigree as a percussionist and drummer is matched by his production and composition skills as epitomised in the massive success of the sell out run of vinyl pressings of the first Bunn DeBrett Quintet album released in 2021. This album, made with fellow former Mother Earth member Jon DeBrett, and featuring US spoken word artist Tenesha the Wordsmith and UK horn player Tamar Osborne owes much to London Transport's 94 Night Bus. For it was on this bus back to Acton one night in 2019 that Bunny decided that he and Jon should work together again having bumped into each other in The 100 Club.
The follow up album, Bunn DeBret Quintet 2, is releasing in July as a vinyl LP and has already garnered significant airplay and high pre-order sales on Bandcamp and in shops and tracks from this will feature in Bunny's 5 hour set along with the records he has collected as a muso, a DJ and a song-writer.
