Over 9 years, Josh Aitman and James Zaremba built Liverpool based community radio station Melodic Distraction. A community hub that celebrated the sounds and stories of the North West.

Throughout their musical journey both have been avid record collectors and DJ's developing their ever growing music taste through many hours soaking up the sounds of the DJ's they welcomed onto the station through its time. Dipping and diving between jazz, brazilian, downtempo, latin, disco, boogie, electronica and more the duo have built up a hefty record collection that helps them craft sets that bridge the gap between all their tastes.

Since parting ways at Melodic Distraction, Josh has now nestled in as part of the furniture at We Out Here festival while running regular radio shows on Voices Radio celebrating the sounds and stories from the various people within the queer community that Josh bumps into. Now in London he's played at spots including Jazzu, Brilliant Corners and many more.

Next up on his journey, welcoming James Zaremba back to the helm, they stop by Spiritland for an all night Tuesday deep dive into their collections.
