The films of John Hughes were at the centre of the zeitgeist for the 1980s and a good portion of the 1990s. Central to these films were his bold and poppy soundtracks, which created iconic hits from established and unknown pop, rock and new wave artists including Yello, Zapp, Simple Minds, The Specials, Big Audio Dynamite, The Psychedelic Furs, Furniture and many more.

In our latest collaboration with the BFI and Demon Music Group, we host a party to celebrate the release of an immense new compilation of music from the films of John Hughes entitled 'Life Moves Pretty Fast'. This follows a screening and panel discussion of 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' at the BFI.

Katie Puckrik is your DJ for a night of shameless pop music from Sixteen Candles, Weird Science, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Pretty in Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, Uncle Buck, Home Alone and more.
