Marcus Barnes is a music journalist, copywriter, editor and author who is 20 years deep in the world of writing, and a lifelong music lover. A widely-regarded authority on electronic music and festival culture, he was Techno Editor at 'the world's biggest dance music and clubbing destination' Mixmag for seven years and has written three books: Around The World In 80 Raves, Transform: The Festival Journal and Around The World In 80 Record Stores.

He has been a DJ for 10 years, with gigs in Washington D.C., Berlin, London, Madrid, Bulgaria, and various clubs and festivals in the UK.
