Matty has been a music enthusiast and collector for over 25 years and a DJ and promoter for nearly 20.

In 2003, along with 3 like-minded friends he decided to recreate the best of what he had experienced at events like the legendary Southport Weekender and Bobby & Steve's seminal Garage City. A basement with a capacity of 120 in Covent Garden was acquired and Soul City was born. As resident alonside Tone Control records head honcho Simon Finnegan, he was honoured to share the decks with such luminaries as Phil Asher, Benji B, Paul Trouble Anderson, Joey Negro, Kev Beadle, Bobby & Steve, Atjazz, Wolf Music, The Revenge, Spen & Karizma and Mark E amongst numerous talented others.

His DJing has taken him all over to the likes of Ibiza, where he hosted parties with the legendary NY singer Barbara Tucker and around the UK including Southport Weekender VIP and after parties, Development in Manchester and numerous underground parties in the capital, playing at iconic venues like Bar Rhumba, The Cross, The Egg, Elektrowerkz and East Village.

Matty has recently started a new mixshow "Paradise Love Affair" where he plays all styles and genres with one foot firmly rooted in the soulful spectrum, covering ground that includes 70's and 80's soul and boogie, jazz-funk, Balearic, Chicago house, New Jersey garage, Detroit techno, African & Caribbean disco, Latin, Broken beat and 2-step garage.
