A Spiritland debut for Vinil Ancestral, a duo formed by Brazilian DJs and researchers Amy B. and Anazú, who combine their journeys in DJing and sound research to launch a project that celebrates the ancestry and power of
Black music in Brazil. With over ten years of experience on the dance
floors and in music archives, the duo debuts with a disruptive
approach that is deeply connected to Brazilian history and cultural
identity.
A key reference in Brazilian music research in Europe, Âmy B. is a DJ, vinyl
collector, and cultural producer originally from São Paulo, Brazil. She has been
based in Lyon, France, for the past 10 years.
Âmy B shares her passion through eclectic and socially engaged sets. Her musical journeys blend rare gems, timeless classics, and contemporary sounds, offering audiences a vibrant and authentic experience.
Anazú is a DJ, social educator, music researcher, and vinyl collector. Born in Franca, in the countryside of São Paulo, she is now based in the city of São Paulo, where she has built a career deeply rooted in the connection between music, education, and Black culture.
Her journey as a DJ began in 2010, driven by a deep curiosity and passion for musical research. Immersed in hip-hop culture, it was through Brazilian rap and its history- laden beats that she started exploring the samples behind the music — uncovering a range of influences such as MPB, soul, funk, jazz, and R&B.
