Hailing from Leeds, Nick has been involved in the city’s underground music scene for over 15 years. He's a founding member of Clandestino, a trio of DJs and producers who have their own record label and radio show. They've consistently been at the forefront of the city’s music scene which has led to gigs up and down the UK and across Europe taking in Dublin, Barcelona, Croatia, Moscow, Paris and more recently at Pikes Hotel in Ibiza.
Producing his own music, Nick has enjoyed releases on Is It Balearic? Recordings, Red Laser, Mora Music and Spirit Soul Music, with two releases forthcoming on Balearic Records and NuNorthern Soul.
Nick’s vibe is centred around a musical connection with the soul, ranging from influences via balearica, ambient, African, dub, house and disco – often opting for more obscure and emotive selections.

The Art of Noise are perhaps the UK’s most influential electronic music group, pushing a distinctive avant-garde pop sound created from a unique blend of synth-pop, classical music, film noir and cutting-edge sampling techniques, taking them from Dadaist studio experimentation to the Top Of The Pops studio.
Anne Dudley and J.J. Jeczalik will be talking to Ian Peel (founder & editor-at-large of Classic Pop magazine) through the creation of their third album ‘In No Sense? Nonsense!’, which is given a 50-track deluxe reissue on 2nd November via Warner Music. They'll also explore the history of the group and their varied collaborations, playing selections on Spiritland's world-class sound system.

Dan can be found DJing at various venues at home and overseas. He spins a collection of criss-cross rhythms: originals, re-edits and remixes, in styles ranging from, synth and West Coast boogie, heady funk, afro-, funk rock, fusion, to house, soul, and first and second generation disco. Dan is also part of Deep Tenor City, with a number of releases through BBE Records and a monthly show on Soho Radio. Dan is also part of the Prescription Pricing Authority, with releases on Stockholm’s GAMM record label.
Tom Funk has his musical roots in playing keyboards and production, playing from a vast music collection ranging from hip hop to jazz, all the way through to electronic and experimental, rock and reggae. He also runs a full-fledged recording studio that serves as the hub of his homegrown London-based label, Lazy Robot Records, and has numerous productions to his name, including as part of Prescription Pricing Authority also.

Steve KIW has been playing records across the UK and Europe for over 25 years. He is a founder member of the hirsute tribe of record collectors and DJs known as Balearic Assassins Of Love. He hosts a weekly show on 1BTN (having played on pirates and internet radio for the best part of two decades) and has been a regular guest at nights up and down the country including Norman Jay’s Good Times Sound System.
As well as holding down several residencies in the south where he can be heard playing all manner of musical styles Steve hosts covers nights and spends his days unearthing rarely heard gems. He is the author of The Secret List guide to Brighton record shops.

First single 'Faded' featuring acclaimed vocalist Jordan Rakei, out 5th of October, was 'Sunriser' recently on 6 Music and has already received praise from across the board.
Richard's uniquely subtle take on drumming and "the way he plays like a wild flower grows" (Mary Anne Hobbs / 6 Music Recommends), has made him a sought-after performer with successful global artists and at drum events and festivals worldwide.

Educated by everything from Klaus Wunderlich and Jim Reeves, via Motown, hairy rock and disco, to D-Train and Anita Baker from his family’s large record collection, Ian Wade found his tastes favouring electronic music upon first hearing I Feel Love in 1977, which pretty much shaped his mindset from there.
With a comprehensive career as a writer for various (and many deceased) titles across music and TV, Ian occasionally turns his hand to PR, makes music under the name Blood Everywhere and compiles playlists for Wadey’s Disco Kitchen.

For many years the experiments in minimal electronic music represented on the Frakkur collection were thought lost, owing to a corrupted hard-drive. However, CDRs shared among close friends at the time came to light a decade later, saving the projects from oblivion.
Mastered for the first time for this release, the legacy recordings – totalling 24 tracks – will be played in full and at volume through our world-class sound system.

Black Sifichi

Born in NYC, Black Sifichi spent his early youth moving between there and Glasgow. After having studied with Stella Adler and Ann Raychel, he began performing as an actor in New York's downtown theatre scene.
After seeing The Clash at NY's Palladium and later at Bond's, his attitude toward music and his social vision was radically transformed. In 1982 he left New York to live in London where he met Phil Von of the group Von Magnet. With Steve Weymouth and Anthony Becker they created a 'multimedia' physical slide show for Von Magnet's savage and spectacular performances. Sifichi became the photographer for the group – his photos were used for the artwork of 'El Sexo Surrealista' and the recent double DVD Von Magnet 1983-2013.
Black Sifichi brings with him a whole library of deep ambient music accompanied by his signature spoken word.

Join Spiritland and HERESY in observing their heathen alliance through three separate meetings of deep listening, mysticism and ritual.
On this first night, HERESY kinsmen DJs will begin proceedings channelling primal, folkloric noise music through Spiritland's monolithic sound system.
The height of the ceremony will see Black Impulse, who broadcast fortnightly from the depths of Dalston's NTS, suffuse the space with a distortion-heavy mix of prog, metal and psych.
Limited-run HERESY and Spiritland tokens of worship – collaborative tees and slipmats – will be made available for the first time on the night ahead of online sales the next morning.
The second and third will feature different guests and take place on Sunday 20th January and Thursday 21st March.

Bryce's Brother is known for exploring a rich tapestry of sounds from latin jazz to London bruk, Chicago house and beyond. He is one part of Champagne Funk.
In addition to playing parties across the country, Champagne Funk also hold down a residency on South London radio station Balamii, and recently ventured behind the camera with their new Body of Work series, capturing intimate performances from artists like On the Corner's Collocutor and Banoffee Pies' Ishmael Ensemble.
He will be joined by Spiritland regular Minus Kendal.
